
Semac Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and coordinate the execution of Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) works on large-scale industrial construction projects.
This is a key leadership role for professionals with a proven track record in piping, equipment erection, electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Manage, supervise, and coordinate mechanical and E&I construction activities on-site.
Lead teams of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors across piping, equipment erection, cabling, terminations, and instrumentation.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, QA/QC requirements, and health & safety standards.
Plan, monitor, and control daily site activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.
Conduct coordination meetings, resolve technical issues, and manage work interfaces between disciplines.
Oversee subcontractor performance, resource allocation, and progress reporting.
Collaborate with project management, procurement, and planning teams for materials, logistics, and manpower.
Supervise preparation and review of method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, as-built documentation, and commissioning support.
Prepare and deliver accurate daily/weekly progress and technical reports.
📘 Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 7–10 years of site experience in industrial, energy, or mining construction projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial/coordination role.
Proven experience in mechanical erection, piping, electrical systems, and instrumentation works.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a hands-on site management approach.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and familiarity with project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
Availability for full-time site-based work, including travel or relocation depending on project requirements.
Valid driver’s license (preferred for access to remote project sites).
