Semac Construction, a division of the Semac Group, is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior HSE Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) to join our team at the Skouries Project in Chalkidiki.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate who is eager to build a career in Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) management within a large-scale construction project. The selected candidate will receive structured training, mentoring, and hands-on experience to grow into the role of HSE Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and monitoring of the HSE management system on the Skouries Project site.

• Participate in site inspections, safety walks, and risk assessments under the guidance of senior HSE personnel.

• Assist in identifying unsafe conditions and behaviors and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

• Contribute to incident and near-miss reporting and help with investigations and documentation.

• Support the preparation of HSE documentation, including safety plans, method statements, permits, and reports.

• Assist in organizing and delivering toolbox talks and HSE awareness sessions to site personnel and subcontractors.

• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to promote safe work practices in daily operations.

• Maintain accurate HSE records and ensure proper filing and tracking of relevant documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Greek citizenship.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• No prior professional experience required; internships or thesis work related to construction or safety will be considered an asset.

• Strong interest in Health, Safety & Environmental management and willingness to develop in this field.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).

• Basic understanding of construction site operations is desirable.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, responsible attitude.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, site-based environment.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

• Willingness to travel and be present on-site in Chalkidiki; valid driver’s license required.
