Semac Construction, a division of the Semac Group, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a permanent role.


In this position, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical engineering solutions, collaborating with clients and project teams, and ensuring excellence from design to execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, and supervise the installation of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel piping networks.

  • Oversee fabrication and erection activities, ensuring adherence to international codes and project specifications.

  • Supervise welding works requiring preheating and Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) to guarantee metallurgical integrity, stress relief, and mechanical performance of alloy steel welds.

  • Ensure compliance with approved WPS/PQRs and monitor execution, documentation, and inspection of welding operations.

  • Verify quality through NDT and ensure compliance with HSE and technical standards.

  • Collaborate with engineers, foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors to integrate mechanical systems into overall project execution.

  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and as-built documentation.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Greek Citizenship (mandatory).

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

  • Experience levels:

  • Junior: 1–3 years

  • Medior: 3+ years

  • Proven experience in mechanical construction, particularly piping fabrication and erection.

  • Knowledge of alloy steel piping, welding preheat requirements, and PWHT processes.

  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems in infrastructure/building projects is an advantage.

  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability in site conditions.

  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Willingness to travel to project sites; valid driver’s license required.
