
Semac Construction, a division of the Semac Group, is seeking a site-based Mechanical Engineer to join our project team at Skouries, Chalkidiki in a full-time, permanent role.
This is a hands-on engineering position in a large-scale industrial construction environment, ideal for candidates with field experience in mechanical erection and piping systems.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on-site, with a focus on the fabrication and erection of piping systems (carbon steel, stainless steel).
Work closely with foremen, subcontractors, and the project management team to ensure work progress according to plan and quality standards.
Monitor construction activities and verify compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and health & safety standards.
Support the QA/QC process through inspections, test witnessing, and preparation of as-built documentation.
Participate in the planning and execution of mechanical works, ensuring alignment with project timelines and milestones.
Collaborate with the procurement team for timely material deliveries and technical clarifications with suppliers.
Report daily/weekly site progress and contribute to the preparation of technical and site reports.
📘 Qualifications & Requirements
Greek citizenship or legal right to work in Greece.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Professional experience:
Junior level: 1–3 years
Medior level: Over 3 yearsPrevious experience on industrial, energy, or mining projects will be considered a strong asset.
Hands-on experience with piping works in construction projects is essential.
Excellent problem-solving and on-site coordination skills.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and basic familiarity with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project or Primavera).
Availability to work on-site daily in Skouries, Chalkidiki.
Valid driver’s license and private vehicle (preferred for access to site).
